Virus explosion

I am running Norton Internet Security 2009 on Windows Vista Home Basic. Back on the 31st Dec 08, my computer got infected with a huge number of viruses. 280 to be exact, all on the same day. They include adware, spyware, trackware, trojans, infostealer and many others. Here is a link to my full history in a txt file:

I'm not sure where they all came from, my virus history had been pretty clean before this. I noticed a few changes to my computer: my soundcard stopped working, Winamp crashes when i try to load it, there are unremovable files on my external hard drive, i was unable to carry out a full system scan with Norton 2008 (updating to 2009 fixed this), and my computer sometimes crashes when i try and shut it down (not always, probably 50% of the time).

I'm not sure if all these problems are related, but they all happened very shortly after my computer became infected.

I need some advice on what to do about it. Should i use Norton to remove everything that hasn't been removed already? I'm wondering if this virus package is known about and if there's any way i can clean up everything at once, without having to go through them all individually.
