Hi -- I have a older XP laptop running Norton Internet Security 2006. Lately I have been getting "Running out of Disc Space" system messages. Looking through all the directories I discovered that the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDef folder has grown to 27.2GB -- almost half of my whole hard disc. What can I do to trim down the amount of disc space that Norton is using? It is squeezing me out of "house and home". I ran the Microsoft Disc Cleanup routine and got back a GB, but now I am just living on borrowed time until I run into this problem again.
