vlc media player takes 3 minutes to start. Seems to be pointing at NIS or ghost. I don't want to do without either program. But, it is very irritating. Reinstalled vlc several times. Same problem. Stopped some autostart programs that helped with my CPU usage. But, no help with vlc.
