VPN does not stay turned on

When I have my computer on, I turn on the VPN but it does not always stay on while I am using the computer both online and offline. And there is no indication that it has turned off, until I open the MY Norton window. Why does this happen and how do I prevent it? It stays on all the time on my mobile device.

This is a very common complaint here and you can do nothing to change the behavior. We are hoping Norton makes software changes to the VPN to improve the functionality.  In the meantime you will have to manually check the VPN frequently to make sure it is still functioning properly.
