Norton fails to connect, gives error to try again since last Windows 10 update. Will work after third or fourth try. I have read this error all over the internet but first time for me. None of the solutions seem to work for anyone according to posts and do not work for me, either.
Also am missing the Norton Tap driver. I have the standalone Norton VPN.
Any other suggestions?
You cannot uninstall just WireGuard. WireGuard is a VPN protocol that Norton is now using for its VPN feature.
If you uninstalled Norton VPN, it sounds like you were using the standalone Norton Secure VPN app. If you also have Norton 360 installed, you do not need the standalone VPN, and should just use the VPN feature in 360.
I cannot connect to the Internet because Wireguard is blocking it. How do you uninstall Wireguard.
I had to uninstall Norton VPN to use the Internet.
Thanks for the post back.

It hasn't done it since and a new Wireguard Tunnel has just appeared in network connections. After research, Wireguard is supposed to be very very good, secure and fast. Privacy was not mentioned, but I imagine there is privacy. Thank you for your reply.
Hello greenfishy. The TAP driver you posted about is no longer needed nor installed with NVPN. What is the error you're getting? Please post a screenshot for us to review with you.
