When I start my Windows 10 PC I expect the VPN to start up but it doesn't and I don't see any warnings from Norton360.
I have to manually run it every time I do a re-start then its fine till the next re-start. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have tried the 4 combinations of VPN on/off and Auto Connect on/off ending with them both on. Each time I did a reboot in between.
Still no luck though but thanks for the suggestion.
Try turning Auto-Connect off and restart your computer. The turn it back on and restart again to test. Sometimes settings just get muddled.
Hi
many thanks for your reply but Auto Connect is switched on. I tried going into MyNorton as soon as windows booted then after the failure to connect message I hit the "turn VPN on" button there was about a half second delay and then it popped up a message to say it was connected.

Click on the down arrow beside Turn on/off by the VPN feature in the My Norton interface then click on Settings. Turning on Auto-Connect will have the VPN start when Windows starts or comes out of sleep or hibernation.
