I just renewed (added keycode) for my Norton 360 Deluxe.
Went through everything getting PC and android phones up to date with new code the only hiccup is the VPN app on my phone is showing that my subscription is expired (it's good on wife's phone), I've logged out/logged in, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted the phone. Norton Mobile Security app show Active Subscription.
Nothing has worked, getting the red bar across top of app "Your Subscription Has Expired" when I click on it takes me to the renewal page wanting $99.99 with no I have a subscription option.
It will allow me to turn on vpn but I'm not sure if that is some 7 day trial or if it does in fact recognize a good subscription
When you renewed your subscription, did you purchase a new product key and use that to activate your product? If so, you have started a new subscription, not renewed as far as Norton is concerned. The messages you are receiving would be for the old subscription, which in fact did expire. There does not seem to be anything you can do to stop these. They should stop within 3 - 4 weeks.
Also, you mention McAfee. Do you also have McAfee installed on your system(s). If so you need to choose between Norton and McAfee and fully remove the one you do not want using the removal tool for that product. Having more than one real time AV installed can actually reduce your protection.
I have a similar problem. I get expiration notices on a subscription that has expired. But I have an active subscription that I got though another computer. so I am actually covered. Every few days I get a notice from Norton, and many from McAfee and other internet security providers. I've been on chat twice, but have not had the problem resolved. It's very annoying and time consuming to go through these notices and delete them. The attached shows two snapscreen snippets of the Norton notice and my actual coverage.
I did follow exactly, that is when I was showing as expired on both apps. Went through it twice with same results.
I was able to figure out which phone was my wifes by having her open up Norton mobile, that showed her as online. (I always wondered why in the My Subscription page on PC it always showed phones as offline, the mobile app has to be open for them to show as online.)
Kept my PC and her phone active, deleted the rest, before deleting, my phone was showing 1 active and 1 expired license and a tablet on the My Subscription page (pc) - on my phone when I tried to activate using the key code it said I had exceeded my licenses.
Followed instructions from your first post and it worked this time.
Go back to my instructions for installation order I posted above. Remove both NMS and VPN from your phone and restart the phone. Then install and activate the Norton Secure VPM app. Then install and activate NMS.
Now both the vpn and norton mobile are showing as expired.
My Subsciption page shows both phones as active but on my phone it says out of subsciptions when I try to enter the new product key. When I look on the phone it shows 3 phones, 1 pc and 1 tablet however when I look at my subsciption page on my pc it shows 4 devices.
I never changed the name on the phones, it just shows them as the model # samsung_SM_955U in this case, I do not want to delete both phones for fear I'll then have 2 phones with expired subscriptions.
My issue occurs on my PC and laptops as I said above. Still there's NO response from the developers team for such a small bug. They're too unresponsive to their customers...
Check the number of activations against your 360 subscription in your Norton Account at https://my.norton.com Click on the user icon at the top right and click on My Subscriptions. Find your current 360 subscription and click on Manage Licenses. Do you have any free activations available?
One thing that has been pointed out in the forums is that on mobile devices, is that you need to activate the Norton Secure VPN app first. Then you activate the Norton Mobile Security, NMS, app second. That way it will only count as one activation against your subscription. If you activate in the other order, it apparently will use up 2 activations. That could explain why you are getting the subscription expired notices for the VPN app.
So to sort this out, uninstall both apps and restart the device. Then start with the VPN app, and then NMS.
Hi. This issue is slightly similar to mine. I have such an issue on my PC and laptops! Every few days my subscription gets deactivated on my devices and when I try to activate it, it shows an error message saying (Your trial version has expired) and also a (Server error) with the code number (8002).
I already reported the issue SEVERAL TIMES and have mentioned that I have the issue for almost 6 months!!! They didn't fix it yet. So, I think it's a global issue of Norton products being deactivated. The Developers Team MUST resolve the issue ONCE AND FOR ALL. We are paid customers; not the free ones!
