I've seen a few similar questions, but no answers to this problem. There must be a solution, as this isn't a sophisticated problem, most free firewall programs can do it...
I have Norton Security, a vpn, and use windows 8.1 OS, and I want to prevent my IP leaking in just one internet browser/application, if the VPN disconnects.
Using windows firewall this was easily possible through the "Private" vs. "Public" IP categories. I have neither a static IP from my ISP, nor a static IP from my VPN, so with what few settings norton's firewall seems to offer, this does not seem possible?? Unfortunately, even if I disable Norton firewall, it prevents use of Windows Firewall. If such simple settings cannot be made within Norton firewall, is there some way I can regain use of windows firewall short of uninstalling all of Norton Security? Please help, if you can, it seems like such a waste to have to have to either get a third firewall, and have it running for this one purpose, or to uninstall Norton and I guess try to get a refund...
