VPN Message

I just got a message from Norton to turn on VPN but Norton VPN is turned on. Why did Ithen get this message? My Norton 360 has Secure VPN checkked.

What is the error message you are seeing?

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:

Do you also have the standalone Norton Secure VPN installed? If so, it appears that the two apps do not communicate their VPN status to each other. If you do have both, you should uninstall the standalone VPN and just use the VPN feature in 360.

No, I only have the Norton 360 installed.

Is this a one off message or do you keep seeing it pop up? If a one off, I would not worry about it.

Just restart your computer to clear out any Windows garbage.

Thanks. I have only received it once, and since Norton 360 includes VPN I can’t understand why I got the message. My Norton has a green checkmark next to Secure VPN.

You say the VPN has a green checkmark. If you click on Privacy on the left of the 360 interface, does the VPN feature show a green checkmark that it is turned on?

Yes. When I click on Privacy on the left the VPN feature of the 360 interface the VPN feature shows a green checkmark that it is turned on. But I have a question, and it is why am I getting a response from the Norton Community website and an email too? It’s been a while since I asked a question so maybe I have forgotten that a reply is posted on the website, and you get an email too. Some community forms don’t send emails too.

I forgot to post that when I click on Privacy I see Secure VP, SafeCam and Priivacy Monitor. On your photo I only see Secure VP and SafeCam but no Privacy Monitor. Why no Privacy Monitor on the photo you sent?

Most if not all forums have an email notification system that you can tailor to your wants. In this forum you click on your user icon in the top right of any forum page, and click on the person icon at the bottom to open your profile. Click on Preferences and then on Emails. Go through the options to set things up the way you want.

As for the Privacy Monitor, I’ll have to look into that. It does not show up in my Windows 360, but it is there in both my iOS and Android 360.
