I have Norton 360 Deluxe on Windows 10. VPN is on with auto connect but no other settings. I can successfully go to the main JC Penney website. https://www.jcpenney.com/ But when I click to go to my orders, I get the below error. If signed on to JC Penney, the link is https://www.jcpenney.com/orders If I do not sign on, the link is https://www.jcpenney.com/orders/trackorders
This happens in either Edge or FireFox browsers. When the VPN is off there is no error. All software is up-to-date.
How do I access all pages with the VPN on?
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.jcpenney.com/orders" on this server.
Okay...Sorry. I do not have a jcpenny account to test. Maybe, Sign In has something to do with your issue. Maybe, 'jcpenny.com' needs your true location to verify your Sign In credentials.
Why hide your true location on a trusted site?
Why mask your identity on a trusted site?
R U signing in from a public WiFi hotspot?
Edit: as test: VPN On
I created a 'jcpenny.com' account. I do not have order to track. I did not set Auto Connect.
Websites often block VPN access for legal or copyright reasons. There is nothing a VPN provider can do to get around these blocks. Contact the individual web sites to see if they block VPN access. Many sites do this for legal/copyright reasons. A VPN service does not block access to any sites. There is no white/black lists for sites. Web sites have the right to protect their content. And sometimes there are legal reasons for blocking access to users from a different geographic location. (credit peterweb)
