Vpn start up and shut down

I apologize for starting yet another thread about the trials and tribulations of working with the Norton VPN but, like the other threads I read, none seem to be getting any resolution.  So, perhaps one more on the pile will help...

Norton, if you're reading this and want to continue to grow and improve your business, please sort out a fix and implement it whereby the VPN defaults to ON when the computer is booted and rebooted.  Additionally, it seems to shut itself off whenever my PC goes into hibernation and is off when it is awakened.  And, as many others have pointed out, the only way to know the status of the VPN is to open Norton to check.  Again, if the default was ALWAYS on, and this was a reliable default and status, it would go along way to building confidence in your product.  If you notice, there are quite a few current Norton customers who appear to be looking elsewhere to find a product that does what so many are asking Norton to do.  You have a loyal AV base, but they may be abandoning Norton because of a relatively simple fix.

Set the VPN to DEFAULT TO ON - ALL OF THE TIME.  And, set the VPN to indicate when it is on/off without having to open Norton to check on it.  Perhaps something in the tray that shows green or red or something simple like that.  Also, and this is important - set an alarm or alert if for any reason the VPN is or goes off.  Ask the user to confirm they want the VPN set to off and make sure there is a readily visible alert when it goes off and that it is off - for whatever reason (though this shouldn't happen unless the user turns it off - that's the point of DEFAULT TO ON).

This is not rocket science and you are supposed to be the pros at this stuff.  So, demonstrate it.

I'm using the current version of Norton on a WIN 10 machine.
