I have been receiving the "unable to connect, wait a while" for at least half an hour... (Oct.3, 2022)
I am not in India, but in a North American country. I have done a live update of the Norton 360 just now to attempt to fix this.
Naturally I have an internet connection, (able to post here).
Any ideas on this? Thank You.
Thanks folks for the help. APaul, I must say that I have been lucky with the Norton VPN ...(except when I first purchased Norton two years ago, and the VPN refused to start up. And one technician did not know what he was doing, (solved after about an hour, by a technician who did know what he was doing).
Thanks also to David G, for the info on restarting the Windows services. I might need it one day. Although for my problem, I could always get online while the VPN could not correct itself. I agree with APaul in one way (how Norton can't correct itself easily)
I wish that some software was more user friendly. Anyway, the problem was fixed after perhaps almost an hour.
Best Wishes to All.
If its not a Nortan server issue. try restating windows WLAN service, if your using wifi from the windows services. You can run the following command line at admin level "net stop WlanSvc " no quotes type as seen. The wifi icon should change after you hit the enter key on keyboard. Then type in "net start WlanSvc" no quotes. You should see the wifi reconnect if auto connect is on. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=how+to+restart+windows+services+&view=detail&mid=6FFDDAA81CF98B977F696FFDDAA81CF98B977F69&FORM=VIRE. this may help. I noticed mine would also say It was a dns error which I did not notice, so look good when you try and connect look at those popups they may give more info.
Turn off VPN auto connect and never enable again. Norton VPN is more trouble than it is worth.
