As a migrant from Windows 7 (64 bit) to W10 (12 months) I have continued to use Windows Live (2012) for my e-mail service (from talktalk).
I believe it is about to reach obsolescence and I think it is the right time to plan to ditch it.
As a user of POP3 protocol - it suits my daily needs with single PC for access - I have had little success with W10 Mail. configuration.
Seems I can send messages but can't seem to download / synchronise successfully . If I do manage to receive a message it does not delete as expected at the web server as it should for POP3 protocol.
Endless hours searching for a fix at the Microsoft end but nothing that gives a clue as to why it doesn't function correctly.
Looking for alternatives I have tried Mailbird - (no success either with POP3) and Thunderbird - (works perfect with POP3 protocol).
I am not necessarily looking for free options - like Thunderbird - but I don't rule it out . I am a bit unsure of its Antivirus/Anti Spam credentials.
Has anyone had experiences with any of these applications - or any others for that matter - regarding compatibility issues with Norton Internet Security.
Any help, advise or related experiences anyone ?
Any recommendations of alternatives or opinions would be appreciated.
