Ok I have a laptop running vista os using Norton Internet Security v21. Obviously from all the posts this version is a safety issue that will not be patched. The recommendation is to move to NIS v22. I hesitated doing that as all the noted problems with NIS v22 and the auto-protect being turned off on its own. However now that there is a patch on the v22 and auto-protect issue, I feel I have no choice but to update the vista laptop to NIS v22 or run the risk of being unsafe.
So I am not sure how to move the machine to NISv22 (NOT NORTON SECURITY, but NORTON INTERNET SECURITY)
So do I switch the "check for upgrade button from off to on and then run a manual update? I really don’t want to mess with the remove and reinstall stuff, so can I just update it to v22 via the Norton control screen?
