We put NMS on our Android Phone and Tablet and all was good....we thought!
A few days ago we went on a trip to the Maryhill/Goldendale WA area. No problem until we picked up the phone and Norton said it was locked because the SIM card was removed! I am not sure our phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 5) even has a removable SIM card. When this happened it kept taking photos to locate it. It NEVER left our possession, but they sure ran down our battery.
Well, the unlock code was on our phone in an encrypted application, so we could get our unlock code, right? WRONG as Norton locked the whole phone. We waited to get back to the Hotel and looked at our Tablet and had our code there. We entered it and all was kind of OK except for a few things that NMS reset! We then called Norton and was told something that was BAD!!! The error regarding the SIM card, and our resulting locked phone was because the phone must have lost connection to our carrier (Verizon). Is there anyone aware of how to stop this? Really, you lock our phone and reset some items because the connection to Verizon dropped for even a few SECONDS!!!
This is bad. You better have your NMS password available somewhere where you always have it on you other than your phone!
