Norton technical Support is useless and need to do a warranty Claim need an actual e-mail to file and not chat line (which does not work for me) and not customer service (they can not handle customer claims)
Been a Norton 360 custom for almost 4 years.
Past month, I had been getting error messages from another program(Hitman Pro) telling me that Norton was infected with a virus and that it was isolating these error.
Yesterday 29 August 2016, I receive numerous messages from Norton telling me that my updates were out of date. when I double checked on the Norton site, Norton was telling me that my software was current.
Was receiving numerous update error messages from Microsoft update telling me that Norton was out of date.
Tried contacting Norton on 29 August 2016 between 0700 and 0830 EST - was connected to some representative in India who wanted access to my computer.
After placing computer in safemode (ref number 746620) nobody at norton bother to check and connect -- after waiting almost 1 hour, gave up on Norton Technical Services.
Since I need my computer secure, the only method I had left to me was to uninstall Norton 360 (my expiration date was December 2017) and reinstall.
However, my Norton account would not let me reinstall this software and I had to repurchase this item (even though I still have over 1 year to go on my current contract.)
Since Norton is supposed to have this warranty I am hearby filing a claim for this new software (99.00) plus applicable tax.
I should also mention I tried contacting Norton 3 weeks ago when these error first occured and Norton Technical Service never answered the login request
