Hi Ribeiro,
Could you check your son's profile under Settings -> Profile (GO) is protected as shown in the screen snap? Also, make sure your son doesn't have the Administrator rights on the PC that is being monitored.

My blocking function is not working wither. I followed the thread and made sure I had the appropriate check marks, safe search is "YES", and I am logged into the computer as the person I am trying to block sites from. What else do I need to do to make this work? I even went as far as putting a site url in the blocked sites, and it still will not block the site. Please help!! Already spent 3 hours on this today alone...

Hi tadolph,
What state are you in? Could you uninstall/reinstall Norton safety Minder to see if it helps? If not, please send me a private message or an email, and we can set up a remote desktop access session to work together on this. You can find my email address at

Katie,
Sent you a private message. I'm available now. I am in Colorado...

I'm having the same issue. Am in California, checked to see if my kid is protected, and double checked all the possible fixes on this thread to no avail. Is there a limit of how many kids I can watch? My other kid works fine, but this is a similar computer set up with the same XP config and it says protected with the PAW in the bottom right, and shows myspace being blocked under "House Rules" but I can go to it when I'm logged onto my kiddo no problem.
Thanks
Hi ndwatts,
How many kids are using (how many windows accts do you have for the kids) this PC that is not blocking websites? When you said "My other kids works fine", do they use this particular PC?
Thanks,
Katie
2 kids work fine, but when I tried the 3rd on a different laptop it says that it is protected and the house rules are in effect, but I can access the blocked sites fine when signed in as them. I set the computers up the same way, but I'm wondering if it's just a different version of firefox or explorer or windows update. Both are XP, and dell laptops but different models, but that shouldn't matter I don't think
Hi ndwatts,
