How about having anti spam and web mail protector. I was shocked to find out that my email wasn't protected as I had thought. I use windows mail and is not compat I guess with antispam on 4.0; It had been on some of my previous versions.

Windows mail is compatible in that you are still anti spam protected. Spam is marked as such and moved to the junk folder.
what you don't have in windows mail are the integrated buttons you would see in Outlook.
So, summary is, yes, you are protected (SMTP, POP3 email is protected) because we block any spam.
But your client doesn't have the anti spam toolbar integration.
