I really hope someone out there can help me. The problem is I have a hard time explaining just what is going wrong with my computer. Before I installed NAV 2009, I had no problems accessing websites. I knew I had some viruses on my computer, but I didn’t have any problems with web pages loading. Now since I have installed NAV 2009, some pages won’t load. For instance, hotmail.com just loads a white screen and down in the task bar at the bottom, it says “Done”, but it never loads. MSN.com loads just fine, but hotmail won’t. On the side of the msn screen; however where it typically shows hotmail information, it says something about my browser needed javascript enabled. I’ve checked several times, and it is enabled. On other random websites, pictures won’t load, or the web page is set up weird or links won’t work. Pretty much every time there is a link that doesn’t work, when I hover my cursor over it, the taskbar at the bottom says something about javascript. So I’m guessing my problem has something to do with script blocking or something. Well, like I said, this all began when I installed NAV 2009, so I tried uninstalling it. Still had the same problem, so I reinstalled it. I have updated my browser from IE 6 to IE 7. I have the latest version of Java (I know Java and javascript are two different things, but I thought what the heck, why not give it a try). Nothing that I can possibly think of has seemed to work. What’s worse, because of this issue, I can’t get ahold of any sort of Norton tech support from my computer. Ugh it’s so frustrating! Can someone please shed some light onto my problem?? I would really appreciate it. Oh by the way, I’m running on XP SP2, if that makes a difference.
