I'm currently running Nortion Internet Security 2011 on two Vista 64bit computers. I am currently using IE 9 as my default browser, though I also use Chrome from time to time for specialized purposes. Ever since I started using IE 9 I've noted a marked increase in the amount of time that it takes a page to open for the first time in a session. The lag seems to be far greater using IE 9 than IE 8. I also have the impression that it takes longer for Norton 2011 to run its web page scans than it did with the 2010 version but I could be wrong about that. I've also noted that it takes a bit of time for Chrome pages to load as well but I don't have any way to compare it to how Chrome and Norton interacted beforehand since I only started to use Chrome in the past few weeks.
is this all my imagination or is there something real about it. And if it is real, is there any solution? The delays really get quite annoying.
Thanks.
