On my Mac, in all WebKit-based browsers, I get a weird popup every time I either create a new message or reply to one.

I'm not 100% sure what the popup is for and it looks messed-up on my Mac…

Hi Corentin,

I'm afraid that I don't have a Mac to test this on, but the dialogue box that you are seeing is the Spell Checker.  It seems to work ok from Firefox, IE and Safari on Windows, but I'll have to let someone else try it on a Mac with a WebKit based browser.

Interesting.

Now that I know what it is for, I was able to play with it some more.

I tried in FireFox 3.0b on my Mac and when I hit reply, it doesn't show up. It only appears when I actually press the Check Spelling button.

I fear it might be restricted to OmniWeb 5.7 actually. I made further tests with Safari 3.1 (also available on Windows) and didn't see the glitches: it doesn't pop-up by itself and when I click the Chek Spelling button, it looks OK (at least it looks the same as in FireFox).

On OmniWeb 5.7 it pops-up as soon as I have the window for a new message and looks a bit messed-up.

Strange maybe the Symantec MACGuru can take a look at it?

Not happening on my Mac.

OS X 10.5.2

Safari 3.1

I know… I later reported that it was only in OmniWeb 5.7 :-)

Currently, the spell checker only supported in Firefox and Internet Explorer. Most likely, more browsers will be supported in the future, but for now these are the supported ones. Thanks!

Well, it works in Safari too.

I neer really know what to think about the "we only support" statements. I'm always afraid it send the wrong message to the people not using the supported browsers.
I'm not sure it will ever make Safari users use FireFox for instance (but it might upset them to see that they are left out) ;-\

I can confirm that I don't see the pop-up when using a Mozilla-based browser.
