lmacri:Hi Sunil_GA:
I am also unable to create a new subscription to a blog in the Norton Community (e.g., the Product & Service Announcements blog) so that I can receive an email notification when new content is added to the blog. I can subscribe to a board in the Forum from the Options button (see image below) but there is no Options button if you wish to subscribe to a Blog.
For example, I unsubscribed from the Products & Service Announcements blog today (Account | Profile | Subscriptions | Forums/Blogs You Follow) by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link (note that the label of the link then changed to "Subscribe", which I did not click)...
I then logged out and logged back in to the forum. Now my Account Profile says "You have no subscriptions of this type" and I am unable to re-subscribe to that blog.
@lmacri, "Blog subscribe option missing" report, we are working on it. Will update once we have more details on same.
Hi Sunil_GA:
I also see the old forum bug first reported seven years ago in peterweb's October 2014 thread Edit Time Cut When I Subscribe to Thread still exists in the new Community UI.
I posted a reply in Ardmore's Not Receiving Emails from Product & Service Announcements Blogs today and then kudo'd one of Ardmore's replies in that thread, and the time left to edit my post began counting down in seconds instead of minutes.

Ohhhh my goodness.... i am totally NOT feeling these forums.... This seems all over the place. The old forums were concisely laid out!
Yikes.

The new design has too much wasted white space and requires too much scrolling.
I completely agree. It is even worse when I visited the forums on my Android phone.
Code text does not wrap -
Um, by design?
for example:

Hi Sunil_GA:
I've also noticed that if you add text below an inserted image that the text looks fine in the WYSIWYG editor but often wraps to the side of the image after the reply is posted. If you Preview your reply before posting you can see the text isn't going to wrap correctly and can add an extra line break.
For example, here's a line of text that I entered below this image before posting that wrapped to the side of the image.
EDIT:
... and here's an image of what I actually saw in the WYSIWYG editor before I clicked Save that shows the text correctly displayed below the image.
THANK YOU for keeping actual dates for posts instead of succumbing to the modern-day nonsense and counter-productivity of relative dates that most forums seem to have now (posted 23 minutes ago...today...3 hours ago..yesterday...last week...a month ago...last year...more than a year ago..3 years ago).
Hello @Sunil_GA
Thank you.
Sunil_GA:Can you please try again with image upload and let me know issue status?
Hi Sunil_GA:
I already provided an update <here> today. As noted, "I did some more testing and the ICME AJAX error seems to occur when I try to upload a large image..." Further details are provided in that post.
Hi @Gribouille342,
Thanks for the feedback. As if now we don't have option to resize the uploaded image to post. Will take it as a request for future enhancements.
lmacri:Hi Sunil_GA:
I wanted to provide some initial feedback on the new design but I couldn't insert an image in my reply and had to cancel my post. When I first tried this morning I could browse to the image on my computer and click "Upload" and an error message would appear (I can't remember the wording but it included the word "AJAX") but now the Insert Image button on the editor toolbar doesn't do anything when clicked.
Can you please try again with image upload and let me know issue status?

Hi Sunil_GA:
I did some more testing and the ICME AJAX error seems to occur when I try to upload a large image (see comment below), so here's my initial feedback on the redesigned GUI:
The new design has too much wasted white space and requires too much scrolling. For example, if you land at the top of the Norton 360 for Windows board you can only see titles for two pinned threads, and if you want to switch to another board the last 9 items on that dropdown list are truncated or missing. I have a laptop with a 15.6" screen (with the recommended 1920 x 1080 resolution) and I can't half of the 15 items in that dropdown on a single screen without scrolling.
There is no visual indicator (e.g., no display of your avatar photo) to show if you are logged in to the forum unless you click "Account" and see "Log Out" as one of the options. Logging in also bounces you out of the board you were visiting (e.g., the Community Feedback board) and opens the "Welcome to the Community" home page at https://community.norton.com/en/home, forcing you to navigate back to the board you were visiting.
As noted <above>, the IMCE throws and AJAX error during an image insert if the user tries to upload a large image. I'm not sure what the max size or dimensions are, but I was unable to upload a 378 KB image that uploaded correctly after I reduced its size by 50% to 138 KB. Perhaps that's an old problem I've just never run into before.
A minor complaint, but I had to choose a new photo for my avatar because the photo I've used for years will not display correctly in both the "new" circle and the "old" rectangle still used in user badges. My new photo now displays correctly:
The new design is still missing features users have been requesting for years. For example, there is no active hyperlink below the titles of listed topics to quickly take users to the latest reply in that thread (see image below); users must still open the thread and then scroll down to the bottom of the first post and click the "Last Comment" link. And as far as I can tell, the cache servers are still only being refreshed every 5 or 6 hours, which means that users must be logged in to the forum in order to see new threads and replies created during the past several hours.
At the end of the day the changes in the newly designed GUI are completely cosmetic and don't seem to add any new functionality. I wish NortonLifeLock had directed their resources to something that had an actual impact on the user experience like faster cache server refresh rates, additional hyperlinks to the last reply in a thread, and greater participation in the forum by the Norton employees when users ask more complex questions that can't be solved with a simple configuration tweak or explanation of a program feature (e.g., like td47's Event ID 3033 Due to Norton symamsi.dll).

Hi Sunil_GA:
Further to my previous post, I tried another image insert using the IMCE button and here's the complete error message I saw after choosing the .PNG image on my hard drive and clicking "Upload":
An AJAX HTTP error occurred.

I tested with both Firefox 88.0 and MS Edge v90.0.818.49 and got this same "AJAX" error.

Hello @Sunil_GA,
As far as I’m concerned, if I can insert an image to my post, I can’t resize it.
