What a difference reinstalling makes!

Hello,

Yesterday I decided to uninstall and install a fresh version of NIS 2012 on my two home desktop pc's. I was aware of the full system scan bug present for some months now and was advised at the time (Here on these forums) that the only to right this was to uninstall and replace. There were a few other problems with full scans not showing the deleted 'cookies' on the 'performance' page and the logs not showing the correct results.

I did the usual procedure, incl. using the Norton Removal Tool as I didn't want any old bits left behind and now what a difference it has made on both pc's! Both run very quietly again, no background things going off all the time like the 'svhost' thing seemed to take forever once it started. It seems far more stable than it was before. I have checked everything out and all appears to be running as it should do.

The version I have running now is V.19.5.1.2, before I was running V. 19.5.0.145.

Having done this and seen the difference in stability I would recommend anyone to go down this road in order to get rid of any small 'niggles' you may have with the security suite.
