All of the sudden my Norton 360 popped up and indicated it encountered an error 8504 and needed to perform some autofix and then my computer rebooted. Then I went to the support article for this error, and it said that step 2 is that I needed to download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. Error: "8504,0" (norton.com)
The application appears to have fixed itself as I'm able to open the app with no issues, so I'm not sure I need to run this remove and reinstall tool.
