Using Nortin Internet Security 2010 17.6.0.32 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. The tray icon displayed a red explanation overly. Opening the main application shows a explanation mark on the upper left, the word "Attention", and a "Fix Now" button. Pressing the "Fix Now" button changes something, but there's nothing to indicate what it will fix before pressing the button nor what it did fix after having pressed the button. What the "Fix Now" button will do really should be explained in future versions. Thanks.
Usually, when you click the "Fix now" button, you will be told what is being fixed. What it is supposed to do is try and fix issues with your Norton product when the product has got a technical problem.
What Yaso is saying is that a window should Open, showing you the process of what is being Fixed. I just tested this out, and it seems that once everything is Fixed, the window closes. Were you at your computer when you clicked the "Fix Now" button? I would like to see the window staying open so that the user has to click "Close" on the window instead of the window automatically Closing when everything is Fixed.
Yaso,
I've not used Fix Now very often so maybe it's changed but last time I did it definitely did not tell me what it was going to do.
I know this because I've known that I had for example disabled email scanning AND not done a full system scan and when I clcik on Fix Now it just went straight ahead and activated the email scan and started the system scan.
So I hope they have changed it to give you a chance to say Fix this but not That.
