The internet is inexorably moving towards adoption of a new protocol, from IPv4 to IPv6, which will, among other things, solve the problem of having nearly run out of available internet addresses.  During the transition, which will last many years, Teredo Tunneling is one method of getting IPv6 traffic though NAT devices that currently abound in an IPv4-dominated world.   The Automatic Learn IPv6 NAT Traversal Traffic setting in the Norton Smart Firewall monitors this IPv6/IPv4 traffic coming into your computer.  When a network connection is detected you are protected.  Protection stops when the connection no longer exists.  You won't want to read this:
