What happens, if a malicious email is copied from imap server to local postbox?

Hi folks,

Does NIS 2014 protect me, if I move an email with malicious content from the imap server in-box to my local postbox?

I am using NIS 2014 and Outlook 2013 under Win7 x64, all up to date.
