What if AV can't cure files? How much comfortable is it? Can't cure even then algorithms of code injection is so simple so just cutting off some kbytes of injected by malware code can fully recover originally files?
Does Norton can recover (cure) any infected files? Only delete them? Not few antiviruses can cure files. What about Norton? Only deleting is "not good" for antivirus (espesially strong AV, but Norton bad in stopping known active infections such as Sality.AE - NIS 2010 in December-2009 can't stop active infection for 40 minutes, just rebooting of computer can help Norton for that time) causing infected (system critical) files will never be cured by Norton and can be blocked or infected and working (may be working with some restrictions) all the time while cure or reinstall operation can't be performed.
and what if this file can't be found again or classical ways to find it provide no results for hours of searching? May be not very pleasant to knew this oneday.
