I installed updates from windows update and I think java. The next day something called Carbonite onlie back up is setting on my desktop. You have to sign up to use it I guess, just says start your risk free trial when it comes up and has information etc as well.
It was probably bundled with the Java installer. It is an online backup service that charges a yearly fee. You can probably remove this via Add/Remove Programs, if it is unwanted.
