What is LOCALS~1\Temp\RarSFX0\setup.exe running?

The Screenshot shows "active connections 0"

So lets say it is Avira with a unpacked  setup file (setup.exe)  It does not show that the file is accessing the net, but that it is in the Firewall Programs list as the file did some time in the past. and the listing has stayed since.

The setup.exe file may have checked the net at some stage during the install process for any updates on the Avira servers.

[PATH]\Temp\RarSFX0 (Or RarSFX1) has the setup file for Avira AV products inside.

Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper may also use  RarSFX0  to place setup files for Microsoft products.

Other Companies use [PATH]\Temp\Rar[CHRACTERS] as a folder.

Do you have any suggestions on how to determine which software is belonged to?

I am sure that setup.exe is not from Avira, and I have tested notebook with Avira, Setup.exe does not appear under Firewall.

For the worst case, reinstalling window will be the only solution.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks everyone very much for suggestions

Before setting Setup.exe "Deny", the active connections is not 0, I am not sure whether it is Avira with a unpacked  setup file (setup.exe)  or not, since the installation process is failed to add shortcut into desktop, and I will reinstall it to see whether it is the main cause or not.

Screenshot shows differnt, look down the left hand side

Internet protection, Firewall, Application List  as the path in Avira Internet Security UI.

I do now how to find out,  but you have already it is not this and that, so you test and know better,  I don't user Avira so took me a couple of hours to figure out that folder name and path,

If the Setup (install) of Avira fails or just has problems then the setup file may stay,  like if you have not correctly and fully removed the previous AV.

Could always just empty the temp folders.

The path is C:\Docume~1\username\LOCALS~1\Temp\RarSFX0\setup.exe, at this moment the directory is gone, but I still can see Setup.exe within Firewall, I think that reinstalling window is the only conversative approach and see whether this problem is solved or not,

The listing in the AV stays in the list even if the file is gone like at times when the AV has a program listed but you later on uninstall the program, the program .exe stays listed.

Sort of like when a program is removed but the uninstall listing in the programs list stays.

It is not a good idea to test programs when you don't know how they work.

delete the listing in Avira or refresh the list

I delete the rules before and reload it, Setup.exe still coming back, I think it is not an appropriated forum for Avira.

I think reinstalling window will be the only solution.

Hahahahaha, that is funny

A File for Avira in the correct loaction is listed and the user reinstalls Winows because of it.

Next we will see a user state norton is listing a file that belongs to Norton and can't remove it so reinstalls Windows. Hahaha

The path is C:\Docume~1\username\LOCALS~1\Temp\RarSFX0\setup.exe

What do you mean by looking down the left hand side?

Path is shown as above, and not mention anything related to Avira.

Does you have any suggestions?

This is to do with Avira products and they have their own forum, and yes the ..............Temp\RarSFX0 does appear on their forum.

"Screenshot shows different, look down the left hand side

Internet protection, Firewall, Application List  as the path in Avira Internet Security UI.

This user does not get what is being told, Oh well
