I would like to know the answer to this as well…It has been very agrivating and want it to stop and want that red “X” to go away and stop trying to remind me cause I ain’t spending another dime for storage when I have already umpteen cd’s with the same back-up crap!..it has cost me a bit of money to keep backing my pc up! I keep resetting my settings on this and its as if it is ignoring my settings! I even unchecked everything for there is nothing else that I would want to be backed up…Lord knows I have enough that has been backed up…for what???
This sounds like what another user is experiencing (but w/o the cd/dvd drive in the mix).

Since you appear to not want backup to run at all, you can disable it.
On the main Norton 360 window click on the backup icon, third from the left.
On the backup status page at the bottom, click on the "Turn Off Backup" link. This will disable backup and you should no longer experience the tray moving in and out.
Matt
Evidentally, you can't answer my question. I never said anything about not wanting to do the back up. I asked, first - what was it backing up, and second - what do I do to get it to stop the that kind of back up since I had it set to back up once a month. The previous entry from your other employee actually answered my question, and have since changed my settings (although, neither of you have yet to answer my first question).
Thanks,
Jon
