Using Win8 Control Panel, I uninstalled five Symantec applications pre-installed on a new Toshiba laptop.
An executable file named symsilent.exe remains. The file properties describe this as a Symantec Application (file version 5.0.0.90).
I would like to know something about the purpose of this remaining Symantec file and why it was not removed.
