Hi,
the Norton Backup Drive is Norton 360's or Comcast's Norton Security Suite's part, a virtual drive. If you do a backup (online or offline) you can see and manage the backed up files in that "drive".
I gave up on the Norton Backup portion. WAY to difficult to setup what to backup and if you make a mistake it's easier to scrap the setup and start over than to try to fix any misytakes.. Acronis has a backup like that in its True Image package I may start using instead.
If you have a Seagate / Maxtor or a Western Digiital hard drive in your computer you can download a free version of TI that is only limited that you have to have at least one of those makes in your computer; if you have other drives as well it works on them.
I like it for the imaging ability to save a complete image of the hard drive that you can restore quickly complete with applications and settings in a few minutes.
I bought the full version of True Image and got a free upgrade to the 2012 version.
I'm still using 2010 ...
Some geeks I know don't like the later interface ... but they like the Plus add-on that enables you to image from one hardware configuration to another ...
