Put on NIS 2009 and everything was great except one site that would lock up, sometimes only, at load, not the antiphishing issue. Did a chat service for almost an hour, with 2 different techs, who messed in everything on my computer. Finally they said it was fixed, I asked what they did, they wouldn't say, I asked if Norton was on, they said it was, they asked if they could mark the problem solved, I said no, and they disconnected me.
I now find they just tuned off Norton in msconfig. I had no protection. When I turned it back on, they had lots of intrusion settings turned off. The erased all my cookies and passwords, all my settings for all websites I go to, even my fonts are messed up. Who knows what else the messed up. I have no idea if the protection is working right or not.
There was a manager e-mail address at the end of the session, that I sent to and have not heard back.
And, guess what, the original problem is still there!
I don't think I have ever seen such poor service from anyone.
Time to bail on this stuff, or is there a way to get it fixed?
I will be here all day trying to get my computer back to working the way it used to.
