What's my username?

I'm trying to install Norton Security on my Galaxy Note 5. The installation routine asks me for my username. I not only don't recall my username, I can't remember ever having to use a username (not a password).  What can I do?

Where exactly are you seeing this in the app? What function are you trying to use? That is not a normal prompt, unless you have contacted Norton Support for help.

A screenshot would really help diagnose this.

Try going into the Norton Mobile Security, NMS app settings. Tap on the 3 bars at the top left of the NMS screen and tap on Settings. Scroll down to the Anti Theft section and turn off the Device Administrator setting.  Now go to Android Settings - Apps. Scroll to the NMS app and clear the app cache and app Data. Restart the device and turn the Device Administrator setting back on. This will reset your NMS to a trial version. To get the full version back, open the NMS app, tap on the 3 bars at the top left, then tap Sign In. Enter your Norton Account information and you should have the full version again.

Then test to see if things work properly.

Turns out what I really need is my Support ID. I don't know what that is either.

Hello

User Name is most likely the email address.

Have a Good Night and

Thanks.

I do not remember ever seeing a username for Norton Mobile Security. Are you sure it is not something to do with multiple user accounts on your device?

Can you post a screenshot of the message asking for a username?

Instructions to post screenshots can be found here

I'm logged onto Norton, so I had to have given it both my email address and my password. Username is some in addition that it is asking for.

When activating your Norton Mobile Security app, you enter your email that is used for your Norton Account. Then the account password will be required. That should activate the full version of the app.
