When I log into Firefox, I get the message that Norton could not add Safe Surfing Toolbar

It tells me to download the latest version of Firefox, but when I check Firefox, it tells me it is the latest version. I'm on a Mac, OS X 10.7.5, and have Firefox 17.0.
