when the unthinkable happens ...

I bought Norton 15 to have a solution if and when my desktop hard drive ever crashes.

Without going into tedious detail, can I assume the following is basically what I do? ... :

If the desktop hard drives crashes, I buy a replacement hard drive, stick in the case, use the installation disk that came with Ghost 15 to boot up the computer.  I should then be able to follow on screen instructions to install\mount\whatever the terminology is,  the entire external hard drive to the C: drive and be on my merry way.  Is that in essence what would happen?

All the hidden systen files get copied and I wouldn't have to reinstall Windows ... correct?  ... or not?
