Hi,

I'm sad to hear Symantec is abandoning Partition Magic.

However, I just want to download the last release 8.0.5 as I have 8.0.

Anyone know where I can get 8.0.5 release.

Hi,

I bought Partition Magic 8 years ago. I have 8.0.

Where do I download the latest version of Partition Magic 8? I understand there is a version 8.0.5.

I believe this version fixes a problem I have resizing a 1TB hard drive.

I searched the Symantec website and I cannot find anywhere to download patches or the most recent version of PM8.

Before Partition Magic was acquired, they used to have a place on their website where you could download the latest version.

Thank you!

I have a feeling that 8.0.5 only exists when you buy it. I have not found any way of going beyond 8.0.3 on my PowerQuest version and I’m not even sure that that is available as an update.

Version 8.0.5 is available on BT, but I want a legal copy as I purchased my copy of Partition Magic.

I find it hard to believe Symantec will not provide owners with the latest release of Partition Magic.

Powerquest always let you download the latest release of their software...

I assumed you wanted a licit copy <s>

It's unfortunate about PM which I had been using for a long long time. I've moved over onto Acronis since I found that the visuals of their partitioning utility were closer to those of PM than the alternative Paragon utility. I found a bundle of Acronis Disk Director Suite and True Image since I needed a good imaging program when I was testing the beta of NIS2009 and had to check each version on a clean system.

PS -- If yo do a searach here on [Partition Magic] you should come across a message from a Norton Staffer -- names in red -- in which he confirms the situation and I think I remember him saying what the update .05 did; that it was not major, but I'm not certain on this.
