In some previous versions of NIS, I could find a log ("history") of *all* network connections in and out. In NIS 2010, I right-click on the NIS toolbar icon, select "view recent history", go to Show dropdown list and select "Firewall - Network and Connections". It seems to show the initial connections to networks as a whole ("Connected to a shared network. (00 18 ...)"), but not the connections ON those networks. For example, in some previous NIS versions at least, I remember seeing connections to a DNS server then HTTP connections to a web server when anyone browsed to a web site.
I could not find this list anywhere else, and I couldn't find a setting to turn on detailed logging. Is this feature now gone from NIS 2010, or should I be looking somewhere else to find them or turn them on?
FWIW, I was trying to diagnose a problem with a product that makes connections over the internet for configuration settings, and went to Norton expecting to find the failed attempts to reach the destination server logged.
Thanks. [I know this is a pretty elementary question compared to most of the other serious postings here about deeper problems, so I appreciate your patience.]
