Which subscriptions do I actually need?

I am so confused (easily done as I am in my eighties!) about which products I actually need. I have subscriptions for

Norton VPN Plus, Norton Utilities Ultimate and Norton GO Premium. The Norton GO Premium is also referred to as Norton 360.

Do I need all three? I understand what VPN does but don’t actually know what the other two are for.

Does my subscription also come with virus protection?

I hope someone can advise me and will be most grateful for any help.

You do not need all three. Depending on what you use your computer for, you probably only need one.

The Norton GO Premium, aka Norton 360, is probably all you need. It has virus protection, VPN, Safe Web browsing protection, and others. You can see what is included here. Norton AntiVirus, Privacy, Identity, & Advanced Scam Protection

The Norton VPN Plus is predominately just a VPN app. Although the newer versions also have some anti virus protection. It does not have all the features of the Norton 360. Scroll down on this Norton page to see what is included in the standalone VPN app. Norton VPN | Fast and Secure VPN Service And from my experience, you cannot install both Norton VPN and Norton 360 on the same computer. You will have to choose one or the other.

Norton Utilities does offer some useful features is you are a bit of a techie. If not, most of the features can be found within the Windows Operating System.

Thank you so much for your very helpful reply. I only use my laptop for very basic tasks - no gaming - so it looks like I have been wasting money having all three programs. I really do not understand why Norton urged me to install VPN if it is already included in Norton Go. I very much appreciate your explanation and will only be renewing the Norton Go.

Be sure you go into your Norton Account and disable the Automatic Renewal for the two products you do not want to keep. Use the information in this Norton Support article to learn how. Stop your Norton subscription from automatically renewing

Thank you. I had that on my to do list but have done it now so that it doesn’t get forgotten.

Thank you for your help.

You should also check that the Automatic Renewal for those subscriptions remains turned off. We don’t know why, but some users here have reported turning it off and later finding it got turned on again. Check about 6 weeks before the subscriptions are due to expire.
