Norton is not really very user friendly. It has been a 2 day mission to get this far!
Is there any form of white list? Is there any way I can tell Norton to allow a certain website? I use Photobucket.com quite extensively, so do many of my colleagues. We are spread throughout the world and keep in visual contact by use of photobucket. One of my friends has uploaded hundreds of pictures of his latest trip in Scotland. He wants my opinion, but I can't give it to him because I am not allowed to access the site.
Because it is so huge photobucket is split into various parts. The part that is : i22.photobucket.comandi24.photobucket.com is blocked. There might be other parts; I don't know. He didn't choose i22.photobucket.com h, photobucket chose it for him.
The whole address of one picture is:i22.photobucket.com/albums
The problem, if there is one, is not in his area b34/cessna152towswer/, but a totally different user.
So, my question is - Is there any way round this?

This is nonsense. We are talking about Photobucket.com not some little village news blog! Photobucket is huge and because of its size is split into many hundreds of parts. The parts are then split down into over 100 sub-parts. The sub-parts hold individual accounts. One (1) gif in one (1) account, in one (1) sub-part of one (1) part is what we are talking about.
If Norton is so damned clever why can't it isolate that one gif, why does it have to block the whole site. It is like saying that there is driver in Texas who is always speeding so all visas to visit the USA are stopped so that there is never going to be the likelihood of a tourist maybe getting hurt! What nonsense!
And while we are at it, why is there no way of contacting Norton directly - that stupid avatar only keeps directing me to pages that are of no relevance.
If I cannot find a way round this I will have to remove Norton from my PC. It is doing a rubbish job.

Hi Kiltpin,
Thanks for reporting this issue. We will be partitioning ‘photobucket.com’ for granular rating, so that each member`s album will have separate rating & ownership

Thank you so much,Rajesh. A very sane and sensible approach and one that will save me monster headaches.
