White listing request

Hi Norton,

we are maker of the text input solution [redacted] and kindly ask where we can send a request to white-list our  application?

[redacted] requires a keyboard hook in order to process the user text input which is the intended functionality.

As we experienced, security software often interprete keyboard hooks as malware by default.

We confirm that [redacted] is no malware, does not spy out users and does not transmit any personal or confidential user information over the internet.

All files of our software are digitally signed. We are a German company with an established place of business for more than 10 years.

Important notes:

* [redacted] does optionally access the internet to check for updates. No personal information is transmitted. This feature can be disabled by the user.

* [redacted] does optionally access the local network in order to provide the client-/server network functionality. This feature can be disabled by the user.

We kindly ask you to add the attached files to your white-list of security applications to prevent  false alarms.

File download for your inspection:
[Removed]

Thank you for your support.

Kind regards,
Michael

Do you encounter any problems if Norton does not trust your software? Are you on Standard or High Trust?

Our request is just made in advance in order to make sure that no false alarm will popup in the future.

We kindly ask to add our application to a white-list to prevent such false alarm.

Hello Michael,

You are more than welcome to test out the software our trialware versions (Trialware) . If you do encounter a false positive detection, please make note of which software and submit the report to us - https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/index.html

If you have any problems with downloading Trialware (if it requires a credit card), please let me know and look in to other ways of getting you the builds.

As said, we would not like to wait and try if such false alarm may appear at any time in the future.

We would rather to apply to have our application enlisted in a white-list in order to make sure that a false alarm never happens.

Could you please advise?

Hello Michael,

Unfortunately, before you can submit your software as a false positive, it will need to be falsely detected. The form submitted above is how you can get yourself removed if you are falsely detected.
