Why am I receiving multiple messages telling me I have unsubscribed from marketing message

I just received what seems like the seventh message about unsubbing from marketing emails. If I did, it was weeks ago. The messages look legit, coming from no-reply@email.norton.com. But they are now getting to be as annoying as the marketing messages themselves. You know, kinda spammy.

Same thing happened to me on 19 & 20 Jun 2024. I contacted the chat support. During the initial chat with the chatbot, it informed me to report the email as spam, (incorrectly) saying that no-reply@email.norton.com was not a valid Norton email. But Norton's help page https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v71088498 indicates the email is a valid one. Eventually, I got through to an actual person, but they had no explanation. Although they did confirm my account was fine.
