Several months ago I downloaded the game "Yandere Simulator." Norton declares that it is safe, trusted and used by 1000s of users. I play the game and it's fine. The next day, I start playing and suddenly, Norton begins to remove some .dll files the game needs to run! After searching for a solution, I just tell N360 to ignore the folder the builds of the game are in, and that was the end of the problem. Until Today. I ran a Norton Power Eraser scan (in fear that I may have a virus after spelling Youtube.com wrong, and after N360 said that all 2M items on my computer were safe). I am currently looking at the results screen, which tells me that 3/9 builds of the game are "unsafe." No additional details, just unsafe. The cloud scan agrees, half a second after I initialize it. I'd also like to add that NPE wants to remove the .exe used to launch the game, while N360 didn't like .dll files used to run the game. I'd like to just press "Ignore" but my mind won't rest. It would be nice if someone at Norton could actually analyse the file and declare it as safe, since the game's community is growing and there may be a problem if Norton is insistand on removing the game's files. Can anyone please reassure me that this is a false positive? And is there a proper way to submit a file for a proper scan to declare it IS actually safe, and let Norton know that? Thanks.
