Why are there so many add-ons

Norton,

I am truly getting annoyed over the fact that every other day you come up with an enhancement that I need to purchase.  I would assume when I purchased your product, that I would be protected against all things.  I am actually losing count on which computers, Iphones and Ipads I have all the parts on.  Enough is enough.  This is getting like the cable company.  I may have to look for another way of protecting all my things.  Honestly, if I'm not protected with all the parts, why do I have Norton.
