why cant i open my norton 360 after a windows 7 update

Hi over the last few weeks I haven't been able to open my Norton 360 after a routine windows update(windows 7) and shutdown/restart to install.  On each occasion I have had to get support to uninstall and reinstall my Norton, no problem but I don't have time to keep doing this. I have tried to download uninstall/ reinstate program but I still end up letting support do it. Does anybody know why this happen or what I can do to stop it happening? the support guys who take control of my laptop to sort it cant answer why it happens,any advice would be welcome
