While doing a lot of scrolling through All Activity and Web reports I began to wonder why they are divided into chunks. A chunk is bigger than a screenful for me (I suppose that depends on monitor size and resolution) so I need to scroll anyway. If I want to accelerate to a particular part of a day or week I need to scroll, click next> and then scroll again to get to next>. I think I could use the information quicker if the chunk size was simply controlled by the Show Activity for setting and then displayed as a continuous scrollable block. If, for example, I wanted to see activity for 6 days ago I would select Show Activity for Last 7 days and then drag the scroll bar about 6 7ths of the way down. Currently that 7 day period could be 40 or 50 pages which means I have to scroll and click next> about 34 times to get to day 6.
Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to do this? Please tell me.
A further advantage of displaying a single scrollable report is that use of the sorting facility attached to the columns would apply to the whole selected period. This would be great because I could select a period of time, say 7 days, and then order the report by Which or Category to get an overview of activity. Actually, I have just done that within one page of the Search report and was surprised at the persistence with which a certain topic is being searched (I'll need to have words about that). If I could see the amount of times that topic has been returned to over a longer period I might be really shocked.
Also with the whole period displayed on a single scrolling screen I can make use of the Windows search command to find specific information I am looking for. So in a 7 day Search report I could use Control-F to see whether a particular homework topic really was researched. Or in a 7 day Web report I could see whether a particular web site has been avoided as promised.
All of the above could be achieved by removing the chunking of reports wich are already chunked through use of the Show Activity for setting.
If it is necessary to keep the current chunking system can you at least place the next> button at the top of the screen as well so I can just keep clicking until I get close to where I want to be.
