I have removed N360 with the norton tool remover, then used CCleaner to erase an old N360 startup key found in the registry afterwords but to no avail. Still have 2 N360.exe files (1 - system (smaller), 1 - in my name (larger)) active on XP PC while I have only 1 N360.exe file active on my Windows 7 PC. Also, have found 2 Wndows prefetch files for n360 on my XP suystem, could this be the problem? Or is this the way N360 runs on XP systems or not? Anybody got any idea why and how I can rectify, if possible, this condition?

As yank says, you will always have 2 instances of 360.exe.
If you are concerned about the Prefetch folder entries, you can just delete ALL files in the prefetch folder. When you restart your computer, they will be recreated as you run programs again.
