Why doesn’t 360 subscription allow vpn to work on my Firestick?

fwiw ~ last I’m aware…
Norton recently launched a standalone VPN app for Fire TV, it does not support the standard Norton 360 subscription.

The new Norton VPN for Amazon Fire TV is only compatible with Norton VPN standalone plans (Standard, Plus, or Ultimate). Bundled Norton 360 subscriptions are currently excluded.

Norton 360 license cannot be used to activate the specific “standalone” VPN apps found on platforms like Amazon Fire TV or Smart TVs. Those apps require a dedicated Norton VPN Standalone plan (Standard, Plus, or Ultimate).
Norton installer will block you from installing a standalone VPN if it detects Norton 360 is already on the system.

If you need the VPN for a device like a Firestick, you must purchase a standalone VPN subscription rather than relying on your Norton 360 license.

On Windows systems, the standalone VPN installer blocks the installation if it detects Norton 360 is already present to prevent known conflicts.

Caveat: I do not run Norton standalone VPN plan
