I began a chat yesterday with Customer Service because I notice that Norton is longer providing Norton 360. I was just renewed for Norton 360 in Nov for the same price as the new program with 10 licenses, instead of the five that 360 currently supports. I currently have 15 licenses for 12 computers (3 subscriptions). I was renewed in Nov, Sep, and June an never given an option or contacted about a new program.
I was transferred to a person that called me on the phone. The person I talked to tried to get me to purchase a new program and stated that my product will be “shut down” at some point and a refund will be given. He stated that this new product was supposed to deploy in Dec 14 and did not know exactly how much longer 360 “would work”. I asked why I was not given the option to upgrade instead of auto renewing at the same price for less licenses and he said that is why they called me; I contacted Norton they did not call me. He tried extremely hard to sell and not answer my question.
I have been a loyal customer for many years and promoted their product to my family, friends, and people when I work on their computers. I am dishearten with the fact that we are not given the option to purchase the new product when it came out instead of renewing a product that must be inferior to the new produce; we used to get the upgraded product with our subscriptions.
After all these years I can’t believe they would do this to us. I contacted support again looking for a customer advocate and was sent to the same number where the sales people try to sell me the new product.
I can cancel the Nov renewal, but I am out the $ for Sep and Jun. Maybe I should uninstall on two computers and let the subscription run out and move on to something else.
